As an avid reader of fanfiction, it’s always a delight to come across a story that captivates and enthralls you from the very beginning. “Champion” by I M Sterling —a true gem in the fanfic universe! If you haven’t dived into it yet, you’re in for a treat.
“Champion” presents a refreshing concept, seamlessly blending beloved characters and intricate plotlines into a new timeline that feels both nostalgic and excitingly fresh. The character portrayals are spot-on, adding layers and nuances to familiar faces while introducing new dynamics that keep the story lively and full of surprises. However, here’s the thing: while the plot and characterizations are absolutely gripping, the time travel (it’s not exactly time travel) element can get a bit tangled with the age progression of characters and some inconsistencies with the timeline. But don’t let that minor bump deter you—“Champion” is a page-turner. The storytelling is strong enough to keep readers hooked, and the attention to character development is truly commendable. Plus, the romance is a delightful bonus, beautifully unfolding from friendship to love with grace and charm.
